If you are new to TBG then learning about contracting brewing should be one of your earliest priorities. See for more information. You remain in control of the entire brewing process, brew your own beer, and use your own recipes, but your yield per batch can triple for a very small increase in cost. You are getting help from the large brewery and taking advantage of their surplus equipment. This is the single best way to get started out of the gate. Find a full brewer in the pub with whom to contract... they can help you out by explaining it further also.

i have a question regarding contracts.....just a little thing thats been on my mind. lets say brewer A is a micro brewery level and has all upgrades. and brewer B is at brewery level with 0 upgrades? wouldn't brewer A's quality be better with the upgraded equipment? and the only significant difference be the output? is quality affected by equipment available from contract brewery? just wondering?

The quality bump from contracting comes from the Association you earn. The quality bump that you get from an Association is relative to the "Advice level" or average beer quality of the person you are associated with. A full explanation of advice level and Associations is available here.
https://thatbrewerygame.com/instruction ... =profassocThe deciding factor of who gives a higher quality boost is the quality of beer they themselves produce no matter what level or upgrades are installed. In your scenario the higher level Brewer still gives a quality boost but it may not be very big (assuming the full brewer does not have a very high advice score). You can never be hurt with an Association. If I have a micro brewery and high quality beer and have an association with a lower quality full Brewer I will still 'learn something' by using the other players equipment and so I can presumably still get a small boost.
Does that answer it?
