Let me just say this about them... they are a great way to sell a lot of beer in a hurry. All beer limits for the party thrower are eliminated and players have an incentive to drink your beer because they get a raffle ticket with every one. Also prizes are given out during the kegger and all food is half price so the beer flows like crazy.
Now, I have had some players ask me why they should help their competition by drinking their beer during a kegger? And I have an answer. I am sure our veteran players will back me up on this too if you have doubts. While you are on the one hand competing with other players to climb the leaderboards in TBG, the real trick to doing well is to make friends with other brewers.
Brewers who like you will buy your beer and will buy your six packs even when you are not online. A great deal of virtual beer is consumed around the clock and your sales will increase quite a bit more if you have several people looking specifically to buy your beer. The keg thrower has paid both real money and virtual money to throw that party... you win just by being there with prizes, etc., as has already been mentioned. By helping that brewer to recover their party cost AND perhaps make a profit and you will be remembered. Trust me.
